Therefore various groups of researchers used different species to evaluate the pharmacological actions of Tulsi-Basil. Hence I have honored the evaluation of the species mentioned in the original research paper. General pharmacology A study was carried out on cockerels (roosters) to evaluate the effect of Tulsi-Basil ( Ocimum sanctum ) on lead-induced alteration in disposition kinetics of sulphadimidine. The result showed that administration of Tulsi-Basil ( Ocimum sanctum ) altered the kinetics in cockerels (roosters).
